I do believe Skynet is coming…

It may not be called Skynet, but I do believe that an Artificial Intelligence will one day become self aware and try to destroy us.

All someone needs to do is put all these things together, and then just make it smaller and stronger.

We are about 20 years from having robots that can blend in in crowds. Right now they aren’t very smooth in their movements, but Since computing is growing exponentially, when a skynet like entity comes to be, It will finish the robotics research and development and have not only realistically moving robots, but strong ones.

The “How imminent is a violent robot uprising” article suggests that we are only in danger if robots don’t have any positive emotions, such as empathy. But the “Electronic Evolution…” article proves that if A.I. evolves randomly, we’ll have to deal with both the good and bad, just as we do now — with humans. We are going to have an interesting next couple decades…
